Fire Alarm Service Technician
Job Description
Service Technicians are responsible for conducting service repair calls on NOTIFIER systems as well as similar competitive manufacturer’s product lines. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hardcopy. Maintain a highly structured service schedule. Input, retrieve and archive service documents via laptop computer and other electronic devices. Provide good customer service. Provide technical training to less senior technicians and trainees. Complete assigned service calls in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
State of Texas Fire Alarm License
Experience in maintaining job site documentation, i.e. time sheets, service documents
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds
Must be able to perform work in unusual & sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Three years of experience in the low voltage industry
Hand tool, power tool, and various instruments required for testing
Fluent in DMM use
Good organizational skills
Good troubleshooting skills
Adaptability to adjust to varying customer environments
Must be able to utilize user manuals as well as find information via internet
Must be able to represent FireTron as on site safety representative
Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
Ability to work well with others
Demonstrate a high level of customer service
Fire Alarm Installation Technician
Job Description
Installation Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and programming fire alarm systems, intercom systems, and various other types of life safety systems. They must be able to utilize blue prints, diagrams, schematics, submittals, and specifications. Complete verification reports for customer and carry out system acceptance tests with AHJ’s and other interested parties. Provide as built drawings and documentation at the completion of projects. They will lead, train, and mentor less knowledgeable co-workers and team members in respect to FireTron standards and practices, systems provided by FireTron, and FireTron safety practices and culture. Provide a positive attitude towards FireTron, FireTron employees, and FireTron’s customers.

Fire Alarm Inspector
Job Description
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturer’s product lines. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hardcopy. Maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents program via laptop computer. Provide scheduling, customer service, and technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees. Assist in training others to make minor repairs and programming changes. Complete assigned inspections on time. Perform other duties as assigned.
